After all, there is mail order and I know two independant retailers who can get me anything I actually need at a lower price.įunny that. But following this…well, suffice to say my desire to support my 'local' store is beginning to wane. One is not necessarily the other though it can influence and affect people's opinion of it. Please remember, the store and the staff are seperate entities. Indeed I and a few others had been all for supporting the store because we do actually enjoy our hobby and its vicinity to it. I never said anything about any of the other members of staff or the store itself. My dislike is a single member of staff who is far too arrogant, cocky and bullish for his position. As strange as it seems I watch enough people and figure enough about them from things said and done. What has my bizarrely amused is the detection of sarcasm combined with the obvious flock of people gathering to this single post. for example Lysander with his S10 thunder hammer not doing anything to my land raiders and my one Banner bearer terminator surviving a few rounds of combat on his own! Ok it was mostly down to bad luck on his side and some good luck on mine. Three Vindicators?! Honestly… but I still beat him. I got a victory against my friends evil marine army (and yes, they are evil if you’re reading this Chris!). they have the speed and survivability needed. One last thing! Played with LIST TWO from yesterdays post(the crusader list), the list performed well in the one game I had, I enjoy using Crusaders. not with everyone else having the same red models! So I used my Deathwing, SEE, 40mm bases do not fit! I can’t wait to get to GW Middlesbrough again.īUT I did manage to take a couple of pictures.

Everyone gets bored around turn three and starts leaving. So as usual my local GW runs one of their bad mega battles. like a Strength D apoc template every ten minutes on the board. If the termies or the stealers controlled certain rooms certain things happened in the mega battle. they don’t organise these things at all and it’s basically “plonk as many models as you can on the board”. Our battle linked with a mega battle that was happening. in 2 genestealer turns an assault cannon managed to use all twenty of its shots. There were also way too many blips on the board.

also the 20 psy points had to be shared between two librarians… there were about 30 on the board.6 command points is hard to stretch across that many. we had a disadvantage as the command point picked out applied for all the terminators. with only a handful of terminators within range. Naturally we failed the mission as there were a total of 25 stealers in blip form sitting on the objective. Ho ho ho how I smirked when they asked me a rule a minute later. but as I was apparently being so annoying and the staff member was fully aware of the rules I kept quiet. explaining clearly what I’m doing: “Right, I’m shooting my Stormbolter at the this genestealer as I advance, needing a 6 to kill, yes that’s a six and he’s dead.” I was mainly doing this as half of the players on the board hadn’t played before. Also the staff member running it told me off for knowing the rules… I was doing what I normally do. There was also a large game of Space Hulk today, now I know the game is fun, but when it’s made so it’s practically impossible to win then it’s not as fun. Started on the Genestealer tonight, I’m slightly regretting picking a decent paint style as I halve 22 more to paint. They’re having a painting contest which ends next Saturday, to paint a Terminator and/or a Genestealer. Went down to my local GW, as tempting as it was to pick up MORE copies of Space Hulk I didn’t.
